Nymann Strathaven Nymann Strathaven is seeking an experienced Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Machinery Operator to join our team on a 12,000-hectare broadacre cropping and livestock enterprise. Reporting to the farm manager, the successful candidate will live and work in Gnowangerup WA, part of the Great Southern Region in Western Australia.

We are looking for someone to operate and maintain a modern fleet of tractors, seeders, sprayers, headers and support equipment across the full production cycle, from seeding through to harvest, on a program that includes cereals, canola and pasture supporting our sheep enterprise. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accurate, efficient machinery work and understands the difference that good operation makes to yield and paddock condition. Our operation makes extensive use of precision agriculture technology, including GPS guidance, controlled traffic and variable rate application, so a willingness to work confidently with in-cab systems and on-farm data is important.

Alongside machinery operation, the role involves routine servicing and pre-start checks, minor repairs and general farm duties, with periodic assistance during livestock work at busy times of the year. Please note that the position demands flexibility during peak periods, when extended hours and weekend work are part of the seasonal rhythm. responsibilities Day to day tasks and duties include: Operate tractors, sprayers, headers, chaser bins, seeding rigs, spreaders and telehandlers across the cropping cycle Carry out seeding operations including bar setup, calibration and depth control Apply chemicals and liquid fertilisers in line with label directions and handling regulations Operate headers through harvest, monitoring grain quality and losses Set up and manage GPS guidance, auto-steer, controlled traffic and variable rate systems Record paddock activities, chemical applications, yield data and machine hours Conduct daily pre-start checks, greasing and fault reporting Perform routine servicing and minor repairs, including hoses, belts, tyres and welding Move machinery between paddocks and properties in line with road regulations Cart grain, fertiliser, seed and fuel, and manage on-farm storage Maintain firebreaks, tracks and fence lines,



operating loaders as required Assist with livestock work during peak periods, including stock water, feeding and yards Follow WHS requirements, including harvest fire risk management and correct PPE use Qualification &

experience AQF Certificate II in Agriculture or higher, or comparable relevant work experience as substitute.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience operating agricultural machinery and mobile plant equipment. Current driver’s licence. Robust mechanical aptitude with the ability to carry out basic servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding.

Sound knowledge of modern farming practices, crop management, and precisionagriculturesystems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively withinateam environment. Well-developed communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
