About The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Associate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Aurizn.
The role will work across a broad range of finance activities, including financial administration, accounts payable, payroll support, month-end reporting, audit preparation and maintaining accurate financial records.
The Finance
Associate will also support the wider Finance team with process improvements, systems administration and business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable, employee expense claims, supplier administration and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes, including reconciliations, reporting and audit preparation.
- Support payroll preparation, salary sacrifice processing and related administration.
- Maintain finance, timesheet and project management systems,
ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports and respond to internal finance enquiries, resolving issues where appropriate.
- Support finance systems administration, including user access, asset register maintenance and procurement activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and efficiencies and support wider Finance team initiatives.
About You
- A minimum of three years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar finance role.
- Experience working within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Sound understanding of accounts payable, financial administration and general accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisation and accuracy, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team-oriented team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
