Administration position available at RTO campus close to Perth CBD
We are a growing RTO delivering nationally recognised VET qualifications in business, automotive skills, cookery and hospitality, construction and English language.
We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Finance Officer & Campus Coordinator to join our vibrant team at the SIA Perth Campus.
Finance officer / Administration Assistant The Role The position is located in Osborne Park, Perth and starts immediately. It is within a busy administration team arranging enrolment and support services for RTO students. The person in this role will undertake financial and general administration as well as reception duties and reports to the Campus Manager.
In this blended position, your primary focus (approx. 90%) will be managing financial transactions, student fee collections, invoicing, and accounts support. Your secondary focus (approx. 10%) will support daily campus operations, and student administration to ensure a seamless experience across our campus facilities.
The Person The successful applicant will have experience in student services and/or working in a busy administration team.
He/she will be an enthusiastic team player, willing to learn and will have a high attention to detail.

Duties
1. Finance Operations
(Primary Focus – ~90%)
- Invoicing & Fee Collection: Issue student fee invoices, issue receipts, and manage student fee payment plans in line with institutional policies.
- Accounts Receivable & Debt Follow-up: Monitor outstanding accounts, follow up on overdue fees with students/agents, and maintain low default rates.
- Accounts Payable & Reconciliations: Process supplier invoices, coordinate approvals with the Campus Manager,
perform weekly bank reconciliations, and handle petty cash.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Assist the Campus Manager with campus budget tracking, monthly financial summaries.
- Refunds & Adjustments: Process fee refund requests and tuition adjustments in accordance with national compliance standards (ESOS Act / National Code / ASQA guidelines).
2. Campus Coordination & Administration
(Secondary Focus – ~10%)
- Operational Support: Assist the Campus Manager with day-to-day facility coordination, resource allocation, and general administrative workflow.
- Reception & Front Desk Support: Provide relief coverage for front desk duties, welcoming students, visitors, and contractor traffic.
- Student & Staff Assistance: Respond to student inquiries regarding fees, payment portals, and general administrative requests.
- Asset & Stock Management: Help maintain inventories for office/classroom supplies and coordinate basic facility maintenance requests.
Selection Criteria
- Experience: 2+ years in a Finances Officer role (Accounts Receivable/Payable, invoicing, reconciliations).
- Experience in student services and/or working in a busy administration team
- Experience in the use of student management systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of RTO policies and procedures or an ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge (desirable)
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- High-level computer skills, particularly the Microsoft Office suite
- Flexible and reliable, positive time management skills
- Currently living within normal commuting distance from Osborne Park, Perth.
