The Client

Large retail organisation which has experienced significant growth since conception, looking to hire a solid Financial Accountant for a 12 month maternity leave role. The Role The Financial Accountant supports the Finance Manager and the Financial Controller with the financial reporting responsibilities of the Group. The primary functions focus on production of monthly Group accounts, quarterly and half-yearly results as well as the Annual Report. Key duties will include:

- Take ownership of the month end close process
- Take ownership of the payroll accounting for the multi-site operations
- Support the Finance Manager and the Financial Controller
- Journal Entries and GL maintenance
- Reconcile Payroll and Superannuation accounts on weekly basis
- Time Sheet reallocation and Wages monthly accrual Journals
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate and local accounting policies
- Budgeting / forecasting and providing insights about financial performances and liaising with external stakeholders




- Play an active role during half year and full year audit accounts
- Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare statutory reports, BAS, and Payroll Tax
- Assist in the Financial Reporting for senior management
- Ad hoc projects as required

About You

- CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role
- Experience within large, listed, complex businesses would be an advantage
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle) a must
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication to present to different stakeholders
- Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative and innovation
