Company Description FutureSafe Security and Fire, established in 2002, delivers integrated security and essential fire system services with a strong focus on personal service and client satisfaction. The company operates as a one-stop solution, supported by security, electrical, building and air conditioning contractors. Based in Alexandria, FutureSafe provides 24-hour service across Greater Sydney and selected country areas of NSW.

The company is fully licensed, insured, and a long-standing member of ASIAL, with OHS policies, procedures, and references available on request.

Role Description The Fire Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Sydney, NSW. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, servicing, and maintaining fire protection equipment and systems in line with relevant standards and regulations. Daily tasks include routine inspections of fire extinguishers and suppression systems, identifying and troubleshooting faults, completing service reports, and communicating clearly with clients and the dedicated site manager.

The Fire

Technician will also ensure all work areas are left clean, comply with safety procedures, and participate in after-hours or 24-hour service rotations as required.



Collaboration with other trades within the FutureSafe group and adherence to company policies and OHS guidelines are integral to the role.

Qualifications

Strong practical skills in fire protection equipment, including Fire Extinguisher servicing and Fire Suppression Systems installation and maintenance.

Knowledge of Fire Safety and Life Safety requirements, standards, and best practices applicable to commercial and residential sites.

Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of fire systems, panel faults, alarms, and related electrical or mechanical issues.

Relevant trade qualification or certification in fire protection, electrical, or a related field; current licenses and accreditations in fire systems servicing are highly desirable.

Understanding of OHS legislation and safe work practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean, protected work environment and accurate documentation.

Good verbal and written communication skills, customer-focused attitude, and ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-trade team.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Greater Sydney and occasionally to regional NSW for site work.
