Nu Trans is a family-owned transport and logistics business providing reliable freight services throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. We work closely with a large network of subcontractor drivers and customers, with a strong focus on safety, service, communication and reliability.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Fleet Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands transport operations, enjoys building strong relationships and is interested in helping grow the business through networking and new customer opportunities.

About the Role The Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating daily fleet operations, supporting our subcontractor drivers and ensuring customer freight is delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

Alongside the operational responsibilities, you will play an active role in developing new business. This will include building industry connections, identifying potential customers and promoting Nu Trans’ transport capabilities throughout your professional network.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily fleet movements across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
- Allocate work efficiently across the subcontractor fleet.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, customers and the operations team.
- Monitor deliveries and proactively manage delays or operational issues.
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer enquiries.
- Build productive relationships with subcontractor drivers and customers.
- Maintain accurate operational records and information.
- Ensure internal processes and transport requirements are followed.
- Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and customer service.
- Assist with resolving delivery issues, driver concerns and customer complaints.
- Build and maintain a professional network within the transport and logistics industry.
- Identify and pursue potential new business opportunities.




- Develop relationships with prospective customers and help convert opportunities into ongoing work.
- Work collaboratively with management to support the continued growth of the business.

Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have:

- Strong transport operational knowledge.
- Experience coordinating fleet, freight or logistics operations.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A practical and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound commercial awareness and business acumen.
- A process-focused approach to their work.
- A demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a large workforce and customer base.
- A high level of computer literacy.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Melbourne and regional Victoria.
- The confidence to network and develop new professional relationships.
- An interest in business development and growing a customer base.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-moving workplace.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

You are a hands-on transport professional who can confidently manage the demands of daily fleet operations while keeping drivers and customers informed. You remain calm under pressure, think ahead and take ownership of problems through to resolution.

You are also commercially minded and comfortable building relationships. You understand that great service creates opportunities and are enthusiastic about helping Nu Trans secure new customers and grow its presence within the Victorian transport industry.
