About the role

We’re on the lookout for friendly and professional Front of House and Bar Staff to join the team at Grano by Wildseed in Ballarat, with multiple positions available across our Wildseed Group venues. This casual role offers flexible hours, perfect for those after part-time or varied shifts. You’ll be the face of our venue, serving up top-notch customer service, running the bar, and making sure every guest leaves with a smile.

This position plays a key part in keeping our reputation for great hospitality alive and adding to the vibrant vibe we’re known for. Full-time and part-time roles are also available for the right candidates at our Ballarat locations.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting and seating guests in a warm and welcoming manner, managing the dining and bar experience from arrival to departure

- Taking accurate customer orders and providing knowledgeable recommendations about our beverage and food offerings

- Preparing and serving drinks to the highest standards, including cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages

- Operating the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately processing payments

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar and front-of-house areas at all times

- Restocking bar supplies, glassware and equipment to ensure smooth service

- Following responsible service of alcohol protocols and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements

- Responding promptly and professionally to customer requests, complaints and concerns

- Working collaboratively with kitchen and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery

- Adhering to health, safety and food hygiene standards

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in front-of-house, bar or hospitality service roles is highly desirable

- Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktail preparation and responsible service of alcohol practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds





- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer literacy

- Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods during busy service

- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced workplace whilst maintaining attention to detail
- A positive, professional attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Current or willingness to obtain responsible service of alcohol certification

- Reliability, punctuality and a team-oriented approach
