Garment Technician – Women’s Fashion

Full-Time | Wholesale Fashion An established wholesale women’s fashion manufacturer is looking for an experienced Garment Technician to join its team. This is a hands-on role working across the development and production of women’s apparel, with a strong focus on communicating and coordinating with offshore factories and suppliers in China. You’ll play an important role in ensuring garments meet the required fit, construction, quality and production standards from initial sample through to bulk production.

The Role

Working closely with the design, production and buying teams, your responsibilities will include: · Managing garment technical requirements from development through to production

· Conducting fit sessions and providing clear, accurate fit comments

· Preparing and maintaining garment specifications, measurement charts and tech packs

· Reviewing development, fit, pre-production and shipment samples

· Communicating technical requirements directly with factories and suppliers in China

· Identifying and resolving fit, construction and quality issues

· Checking measurements, workmanship, fabrics, trims and garment construction

· Ensuring production samples meet approved specifications and quality standards

· Maintaining accurate technical and production records

· Working closely with internal teams to meet critical production timelines

· Supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement across the product range

About You





You will ideally have: · Previous experience as a Garment Technician, preferably within women’s fashion

· Strong knowledge of women’s garment fit, construction and manufacturing

· Experience working directly with Chinese factories and offshore suppliers

· Excellent understanding of garment specifications, measurements and grading

· Confidence preparing detailed fit comments and technical instructions

· Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving

· Valuable organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines

· Clear written and verbal communication skills

· Experience with wholesale or high-volume fashion production would be highly regarded
