About the role

Middle Green Sports is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations at our Greenbank, QLD location. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the strategic direction, day-to-day operations, and overall performance of the facility.

As General

Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the business, from staff management and customer service to financial performance and facility maintenance. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional experiences to our members and guests whilst ensuring the business achieves its objectives and maintains profitability.

Key responsibilities

1. Overseeing all operational aspects of the facility, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and adherence to company standards
2. Managing and developing the team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive workplace culture
3. Setting and monitoring financial targets, managing budgets, and driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives
4. Ensuring outstanding customer service standards are maintained and responding to member feedback and concerns
5. Maintaining the facility to the highest standards, managing maintenance schedules and coordinating repairs
6. Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain members
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements
8. Building and maintaining strong relationships with members, staff, and stakeholders
9. Analysing business performance metrics and implementing continuous improvement strategies
10. Representing Middle Green Sports in the local community and building brand awareness

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in a General Management role, preferably within the hospitality service industry
2. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
3.



Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in budget management, P&L; responsibility, and revenue optimisation
4. Excellent customer service orientation and proven ability to build member loyalty
5. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
6. Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations relevant to hospitality, sports and leisure facilities.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Experience in marketing and business development strategies
9. Proficiency with management software and reporting systems
10. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
11. Ideally, qualifications or experience in business management, hospitality management, or a related field
12. Must have -RSA, RSG, RMLV, Approved Managers License, CLO, Gaming Nominee, Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willing to obtain.
