This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent university graduate or an accountant with up to three years' experience to develop strong technical accounting and business advisory skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative, and rewarding environment. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience across accounting, tour accounting, bookkeeping, management reporting, compliance, and client advisory services.

As a Graduate Accountant / Accountant, you'll support artists, managers, and music industry businesses by providing accounting, financial management, compliance, and advisory services. You'll gain exposure to the unique financial landscape of the entertainment sector while building a strong foundation in public practice accounting. What You'll Do

Artist & Business Management

Assist in managing the day-to-day financial affairs of artists, managers, and music businesses.

Support clients with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning.

Coordinate payments, approvals, and account administration across client portfolios.

Assist with touring finances, including budgeting, settlements, and reconciliations.

Help manage royalty collections and income allocations.

Liaise with managers, agents, promoters, labels, publishers, and other industry stakeholders.

Assist with insurance renewals,



policy administration, and claims management. Accounting & Financial Operations

Maintain accurate accounting records and cloud accounting systems, primarily Xero.

Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

Complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.

Investigate discrepancies and ensure financial records remain accurate and up to date. Compliance & Reporting

Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other routine compliance obligations.

Assist with payroll, superannuation, and employment-related compliance requirements.

Support month-end and year-end processes across multiple clients.

Coordinate information required for financial statement and tax return preparation.

Assist with international withholding tax variations and cross-border payment requirements.

Maintain compliance calendars and monitor key deadlines.

Client

Service & Industry Support

Build strong relationships with artists, managers, and industry partners.

Respond to client enquiries and provide day-to-day financial support.

Assist with onboarding recent clients and implementing financial systems.

Help clients understand their financial position through clear reporting and communication.

Support the delivery of personalised business management services. Systems & Continuous Improvement

Develop expertise across Xero, Microsoft 365, and industry-specific systems.

Contribute to process improvements, reporting tools, and client workflows.

Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.

Stay up to date with developments in accounting, finance, and the music industry. What You'll Learn

Management reporting and business advisory services What We're Looking For

Passion for music and the entertainment industry.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline (or currently in your final year of study).

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Solid Microsoft Excel capabilities.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Full Australian working rights. Desirable

Graduate or up to three years' experience in public practice accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.

Experience using Xero, MYOB, or other cloud accounting software.

Progression towards, or an interest in commencing, CA ANZ or CPA studies. Location

This role is based in Cremorne and offers built-in flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance. During your onboarding and training period, you'll work closely with the team in-office to ensure you build robust technical capability and industry knowledge and post probation have access to our Moorabbin office and flexibility through hybrid working arrangements. Our offices are located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Philippines, and India.
