About the Role

Start your environmental consulting career with a team that invests in your growth.

Based in our Newstead Head Office, you'll work alongside experienced Environmental Consultants and receive direct mentoring to advance you career while contributing to a range of diverse projects across South-East Queensland, regional Queensland and beyond.

Our work spans ecology, biodiversity, environmental planning, bushfire assessment and environmental advisory services to name but a few. You'll gain exposure to a diverse range of projects, from residential communities and major infrastructure works to renewable energy and regional development projects, building valuable technical and consulting skills along the way. We're looking for someone who is dedicated, proactive, eager to learn and who will thrive working in a close-knit team environment.

What you can expect

Every day is different in our Environment team. One week you could be undertaking field investigations and ecological surveys, and the next contributing to environmental assessments for major development, infrastructure projects or managing waterway rehabilitation works.

You'll have the opportunity to:

- Gain hands-on experience across ecology,



biodiversity, environmental planning and bushfire hazard assessment.

- Explore diverse project sites throughout South-East Queensland and regional Queensland.

- Learn directly from experienced Environmental Consultants and our Setting Director.

- Build practical consulting skills, from field investigations through to technical reporting and client engagement.

- Collaborate with planners, surveyors, engineers and other specialists to deliver integrated project outcomes.

- Develop expertise in environmental legislation, the development approvals process and industry software such as GIS and AutoCAD.

You'll thrive in this role if you

- Have recently completed, or are close to completing, a degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management or a related discipline.

- Are curious, analytical and enjoy solving problems.

- Enjoy a mix of fieldwork, technical analysis and collaborating in a team environment.

- Have strong communication and report-writing skills.

- Are organised, proactive and take pride in delivering quality work.

- Are excited to learn from experienced consultants and build your technical expertise.

- Want to contribute to projects that positively shape communities,



landscapes and the environment.

- Hold a current Queensland Driver's Licence.

Experience in environmental consulting, ecology, bushfire assessment, GIS or environmental approvals is welcomed, but not essential. We're equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to learning.
