Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds is a not-for-profit on a mission to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the people who keep Australia moving.

With a growing, government-funded national Road Show program, an expanding fleet and plans to reach more workplaces, industry events and regional communities, the organisation is building the team to match.

This is work you can see and feel. Healthy Heads brings practical mental health support directly to people across transport, warehousing and logistics and you’ll help take that impact into even more communities around Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Program Lead – National Road Show and working closely with another Program Coordinator, you will help plan and deliver Road Show events nationally.

Your particular focus will be growing Healthy Heads’ community presence through local truck shows, truck stops, regional events and public outreach. You will build local relationships, identify opportunities, support volunteers and help create events that people genuinely want to engage with.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a screen all day.

You will be out meeting people, starting conversations, building connections and confidently representing Healthy Heads at events.

At the same time, you will need to stay across the detail, coordinating logistics, managing multiple priorities, following established processes and making sure everything is ready when the truck arrives.

You will initially attend events alongside the Road Show team while learning the program. As your experience grows, you will take ownership of your portfolio and independently coordinate allocated events.

About You

You are energetic, positive and ready to get involved.

You enjoy meeting new people, building relationships and creating opportunities. You are comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a busy event and starting a conversation, and equally confident speaking to groups and delivering short presentations or toolbox talks when required. You don’t need to be a polished presenter from day one, but you’ll bring a natural confidence engaging with people and a willingness to continue developing your presentation skills.

You are also organised and grounded. You understand that great events rely on careful planning, clear communication and attention to detail.



You can bring enthusiasm without creating chaos and take initiative without losing sight of the team around you.

You will bring:

- Experience delivering events, campaigns, programs or community initiatives.
- Confidence engaging with people from different backgrounds and at different levels.
- Confidence speaking in front of small groups.
- A genuine interest in mental health, wellbeing and community connection.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple events, deadlines and changing priorities.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Confidence working independently while staying connected to a small team.
- Solid computer literacy. Experience with Monday.com or SharePoint is helpful but not essential.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Experience in mental health, transport or logistics would be valuable, but it is not essential. The team is more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, communication skills and ability to make things happen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver community-focused Road Show events across Australia.
- Build relationships with local communities, truck stops, industry groups and event organisers to grow Healthy Heads’ reach.
- Coordinate event logistics, including schedules, providers, equipment, truck movements and run sheets.
- Represent Healthy Heads at events, engage participants and deliver toolbox talks, presentations and mental health and wellbeing messages.
- Support the Road Show volunteer program and contribute to local communications and media activities.
- Maintain accurate event records, reporting and workflows, while working closely with the Road Show team across logistics, safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
