Light Vehicle / Small Engine Mechanic – John Deere Dealer

Metropolitan Machinery Pty Ltd is South Australia's authorised John Deere dealer for Commercial & Residential equipment, Golf & Turf machinery and light utility vehicles.

This is NOT a heavy diesel or broadacre tractor role.

We're looking for a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic, Small Engine Mechanic or Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to join our growing workshop. If you enjoy working on petrol and light diesel equipment rather than large agricultural machinery, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be working on

You'll service and repair premium brands including:

- John Deere ride-on mowers

- Commercial zero-turn mowers

- Golf course maintenance equipment

- Utility vehicles (Gators)

- Walk-behind and commercial turf equipment

- Other premium outdoor power equipment like STIHL

You'll work on modern, well-maintained equipment with the support of an experienced team.

About You

Ideally you'll have:

- Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle, Small Engine or Outdoor Power Equipment Mechanic (or similar)

- Experience diagnosing and repairing petrol and light diesel engines

- Robust fault-finding skills

- Pride in producing quality workmanship





- A positive attitude and ability to work within a close-knit team

Experience with John Deere equipment is an advantage, but not essential. We provide ongoing training.
