South Coast Shopfitters is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join our growing team, based primarily at our Lonsdale workshop.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision manufacturing, problem-solving and being part of a team that delivers high-quality shopfitting projects across Australia.

About the Role

Working out of our Lonsdale factory, you’ll be responsible for operating our SCM CNC machinery to manufacture custom joinery and shopfitting components.

Alongside CNC operation, you’ll play an important role in supporting workshop efficiency by managing material requirements, ordering stock and ensuring materials are available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate SCM CNC machinery to manufacture joinery components

- Set up and run CNC programs accurately

- Read and interpret shop drawings and cutting lists

- Complete quality checks to ensure accuracy and high-quality finishes

- Troubleshoot basic machine issues and report maintenance requirements

- Order materials and liaise with suppliers as required

- Monitor stock levels and complete regular stocktakes

- Maintain accurate material records

- Maintain a clean and safe workshop workplace





About You

- Previous experience operating CNC machinery (SCM experience highly regarded)

- Experience within joinery, cabinet making or shopfitting (preferred)

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

- Good organisational skills and ability to manage priorities

- Experience with material ordering and stock control (advantageous)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable and safety-focused
