Movement Agency is an independent, full-service creative communications agency based in Sydney.

Founded in 2019, Movement was created to challenge what traditional PR looks like. We bring together publicity, creative communications, events, experiential activations, influencer partnerships and brand collaborations to create campaigns that move through culture.

We work with some of Australia’s most recognised and exciting brands across beauty, lifestyle, fashion, wellness, FMCG and retail, taking ideas from strategy through to execution and creating work designed to earn attention, drive conversation and build brands.

As Movement continues to grow, we’re looking for an exceptional Head of Operations to join our leadership team and help us build the next chapter of the agency.

THE ROLE This is a newly created leadership role for someone who loves people just as much as they love making a business work brilliantly. Working closely with our Founder and senior leadership team, you’ll help oversee the day-to-day operations of Movement while playing an important role in supporting, motivating and developing our team. We’re looking for someone who naturally brings people together.

Someone warm, positive and approachable who creates momentum, celebrates great work and genuinely enjoys helping people perform at their best. You’ll have visibility across the agency and help ensure our people have the clarity, resources and support they need to do brilliant work. Some days that might mean looking ahead at resourcing and making sure teams are set up for a busy campaign period.

Other days it might mean helping a team member work through a challenge, improving a process, welcoming a new hire or bringing everyone together to celebrate a great result.

We want someone who can bring thoughtful structure to a fast-moving creative environment without taking away the energy and personality that makes agency life exciting.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares about creating a great place to work and wants to grow alongside us. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING • Work closely with the Founder and senior leadership team across the day-to-day operations of Movement

positive and trusted leadership presence for the wider team
- Help motivate, support and develop our people, creating an environment where everyone feels excited to do their best work
- Lead agency wide resourcing and capacity planning, making sure teams feel supported and workloads are well managed
- Maintain visibility across upcoming campaigns, pitches, activations, new clients, leave and key delivery periods
- Work with senior leaders to identify where teams need additional support and help put solutions in place early
- Support recruitment, hiring and onboarding, ensuring new team members have a brilliant introduction to Movement Agency
- Oversee performance reviews, career development and progression planning alongside our leadership team
- Help managers become great people leaders by supporting them with team development, feedback and communication
- Create opportunities to recognise and celebrate brilliant work, individual achievements and agency wins
- Help shape internal initiatives that bring the team together and continue building a positive agency culture
- Review and improve our systems, processes and ways of working as Movement Agency grows
- Create clear operational rhythms that make communication and collaboration across the agency easier
- Work alongside finance and leadership to maintain visibility across account scopes, budgets, resourcing and profitability
- Help ensure our client commitments and team resources remain well aligned
- Support the operational planning of major campaigns, new client onboarding and busy agency periods
- Bring ideas and recommendations for how Movement can continue becoming an even better business and place to work ABOUT YOU
- 6+ years experience across agency operations, people and culture, agency management or a similar leadership role
- Experience within a PR, creative, communications, advertising or marketing agency would be highly regarded
- A natural people person who genuinely enjoys supporting, motivating and developing others




- Warm, approachable and emotionally intelligent, with the confidence to work with people at every level of a business
- Someone who brings positive energy and enjoys creating an environment where people feel connected and excited about what they’re building together
- Commercially minded with an understanding of how a service-based agency operates
- Experienced in resourcing and capacity planning across multiple teams and priorities
- Comfortable working across budgets, scopes and agency performance
- Experienced across recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and career development
- Highly organised with an ability to bring clarity and calm to a fast-moving environment
- A thoughtful problem solver who naturally looks for ways to make things work better
- Confident communicating openly and constructively, including when more challenging conversations are required
- Collaborative by nature and comfortable working closely with both founders and senior leaders
