RDO Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic (known internally as a Service Technician) to join our team in Goondiwindi QLD!

This is a full-time role working on John Deere agricultural machinery in the field, providing high-quality maintenance and repair services to our valued customers on-site. Enjoy a competitive hourly rate, company vehicle and location allowance as part of the package.

What you'll be doing

- Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment to identify the root cause
- Repair and service equipment in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out
- Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with customers to understand their needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

- Relevant qualifications in a related field
- Experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in the heavy equipment industry
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
