Gantiel Vensott is looking for a sharp, driven Purchasing Officer to join our team in Wetherill Park, Sydney. If you thrive on building supplier relationships, keeping operations running smoothly, and making every dollar count — this is your role.

As Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end acquisition of goods and services across the business. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery — all while maintaining tight inventory control and accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

- Supplier Management: Research and evaluate potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and cultivate long-term supplier partnerships.
- Order and forecasting Processing: Prepare and manage purchase orders and forecast, verify requests against current inventory, and ensure timely fulfilment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inspections, and coordinate replenishment to meet operational demand.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Operate within defined budgets, track expenditure, and analyse spending trends to identify savings opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of incoming goods, identify discrepancies, and manage supplier non-conformances.




- Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and supplier data across relevant systems.
- Logistics: Liaising with our external Logics partners to arrange overseas freight

What You'll Bring

- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to secure favourable pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Communication: Robust verbal and written skills for liaising with external vendors and internal teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Comfortable interpreting market trends, supplier performance data, and stock reports.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with inventory management or ERP software and confident data entry skills.
- Organisation: Excellent time management to juggle competing priorities, multiple orders, and tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management.
- Qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics (desirable).
- Proficiency in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Strong track record working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
