Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary 6 Months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency

Classification: Administrative Services Officer Level 6 (PN 58487)

Salary: $102,657 - $116,592 (Plus 12.5% Super)

Location: Canberra Health Services

About the Role:

The Patient Support Services Team is seeking an Operations Manager to join the team on a temporary basis.

In this exciting leadership role, you will lead a dynamic Patient Support Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, person and family-centred care. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, including workforce management, recruitment, rostering, performance management, and financial management, ensuring services continue to meet organisational and client needs. You will also drive continuous improvement through the development and implementation of systems, policies, procedures, and staff training initiatives, while fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence.

Working closely with patients, visitors, staff, and service providers, you will manage complex enquiries and correspondence, represent the service at meetings and forums, and lead initiatives that enhance operational performance, service delivery,



and patient outcomes.

Our ideal candidate is a motivated and highly organised leader with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service outcomes. You will bring outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. With proven leadership and people management capabilities, you will be confident in leading teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience in human resource management, ideally within a healthcare or operational setting, will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you will have the ability to quickly acquire new skills and knowledge, apply sound judgement, and effectively navigate challenging situations, including conflict resolution and operational problem-solving.
