The Client
Auto Masters Reynella, based in Reynella, SA, is a trusted automotive service centre offering expert vehicle repairs and maintenance to customers in Reynella and nearby suburbs. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join their growing team as a full-time Motor Mechanic.
Location: 149 Sherriffs Rd, Reynella SA 5161, Australia
The Role
This is a full-time position offering an annual salary between $75,000 and $85,000, plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
- Carry out mechanical repairs across engines, transmissions, steering and suspension systems
- Perform scheduled servicing including oil changes, tune-ups and preventative maintenance
- Dismantle, inspect and reassemble mechanical components in line with manufacturer specifications
- Repair or replace worn or defective parts to ensure secure and reliable vehicle operation
- Conduct brake, cooling system and air-conditioning servicing and repairs
- Test and adjust repaired components to confirm correct performance and safety compliance
- Refer to service manuals and technical data when completing complex repair work
- Complete comprehensive vehicle safety inspections and condition reports
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Respond to breakdown or urgent repair requirements when required
- Ensure workshop tools and equipment are used safely and maintained correctly
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant workshop environment
- Support team members and contribute to efficient daily workshop operations
The Requirements:
- Minimum AQF Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or closely related qualification with demonstrated practical competency.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance within a commercial workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic skills across petrol engines and associated mechanical vehicle systems.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle safety standards, servicing procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based workshop setting.
- Experience using diagnostic computers, service manuals and technical repair documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and commitment to quality workmanship.
