We are looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor (CPHS Level 2) to join our APAC Solutions business unit. This role supports the successful planning, execution and delivery of Ocean Infinity’s survey projects, supporting the Surveyor in Charge.

As Hydrographic Surveyor, you will contribute across the full survey lifecycle, including survey planning, equipment configuration and deployment, field and remote data acquisition, and supporting data processing, reporting and the preparation of client deliverables. The role is suited to a technically capable and safety-focused survey qualified who can work effectively in offshore, field, remote operations and office-based environments.

What you will be doing

Conducting field data acquisition, including seafloor mapping, using a range of offshore survey platforms and sensors.

Supporting the Surveyor in Charge with project planning activities,



including reviewing specifications and survey line planning.

Configuring, calibrating and deploying survey equipment, including MBES, GNSS, tide gauges, current meters, sound velocity sensors and related survey systems.

Performing field data quality checks and quality control activities to confirm data completeness, consistency and compliance for client deliverables.

Conducting remote data acquisition and remote processing activities from Ocean Infinity’s remote operations centre.

Supporting data compilation, processing, reporting, seabed nature and feature interpretation across bathymetric, oceanographic and related survey datasets as directed by the Surveyor in Charge.

Preparing survey records, technical inputs and final reporting content to support the Surveyor In Charge.

Integrating datasets into Geographic Information Systems to support intermediate and final deliverable products, including plans, maps, charts and imagery.

Working safely, complying with Ocean Infinity policies, procedures and management system requirements, and reporting hazards, risks, incidents or system deficiencies when identified.

Who you are A hydrographic survey professional with practical experience in survey planning, equipment setup, data acquisition, field processing and data quality checks.

Technically capable across core hydrographic survey systems, including MBES, GNSS, tide gauges, sound velocity sensors, current meters and associated acquisition and processing software.

Able to follow project specifications,



internal procedures and direction from senior survey personnel while maintaining attention to detail and data quality.

Comfortable working in field, vessel-based, remote operations and office environments, with the adaptability to support different project phases and operational requirements.

Clear and reliable communicator who can work effectively with Senior Surveyors, Surveyors in Charge, data processing personnel, vessel crew and project stakeholders.

Safety-focused and prepared to use stop-work authority, report hazards and support Ocean Infinity’s health, safety, environmental and social goals.

Organised, proactive and willing to contribute to continuous improvement of survey workflows, procedures and deliverable quality.

Desirable

Experience with bathymetric, navigation, oceanographic or GIS data processing and reporting workflows.

Experience supporting remote data acquisition or remote operations centre workflows.

Marine or offshore safety training such as sea survival, first aid, HUET, BOSIET or equivalent certifications.
