Job specific role description:

Our client is looking for ICT Hard ware / Asset Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective management of infor mation technology assets. The role involves overseeing the business processes as part of a broader team for acquisition, deployment, utilisation, and disposal of IT assets to support the department's financial requirements and operational objectives. The responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

- Identifying and facilitatin
- Developing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, soft ware, licenses, and peripherals.
- Maintaining and improving ICT Product Catalogue lifecycle processes.
- Having a deep technical understanding of IT assets and interoperability between devices.
- Building solid relationships with hardware vendors to track lifecycle dates and identify like for like replacement options.




- Implementing strategies for the lifecycle management of IT assets, including tracking warran ties, licenses, and maintenance contracts to ensure timely renewals and replacements.
- Establishing mechanisms for tracking and monitoring the usage, location, and condition of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT asset management, including potential se curity vulnerabilities, operational disruptions, and financial implications.
- Negotiating and optimising service delivery related to IT asset management.
- Preparing regular reports and analysis on IT asset inventory, utilisation, costs, and compliance for management review and decision-making.

The successful candidate will have:

- Capacity to attend the Canberra office at least three days per week.
- Experience in IT Asset Management, and procurement.
- A knowledge and understanding of Whole of Australian Government vendors relating to the provision of ICT hardware.
- Effective communications skills.
- Certification in IT Asset Manager (e.g., ITIL).
