Expression of Interest The Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced professionals to provide independent advisory services to support NAIF's Investment Review Group (IRG), Portfolio Management Group (PMG) and/or related investment and portfolio activities.
The Independent
Advisors will provide objective, expert advice to oversight origination and portfolio management activities. This includes reviewing and advising on credit proposals, credit structuring and governance matters. Up to three contractor engagements are anticipated initially, with NAIF reserving the right to establish a panel for future requirements. About the Opportunities Independent Advisors may be engaged to:
Participate in IRG and/or PMG meetings.
Provide independent review of investment proposals, loan transactions and portfolio matters.
Provide independent commercial, financial, investment and risk advice.
Provide robust technical advice on infrastructure projects (in particular during construction) Leverage a strong analytical skillset to assess relevant financial information gained from prior experiences in a similar lending environment. Support portfolio monitoring and management activities.
Contribute to strategic reviews, special projects and other advisory work as required.
Identify emerging risks and opportunities relevant to NAIF's investments and portfolio.
Work with the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Investment Officer to provide independent advice as needed. No operational, team or management responsibilities.
Desired Experience
We are interested in hearing from individuals with significant experience in one or more of the following areas:
Infrastructure financing/investment Project finance
Corporate or commercial lending
Investment banking
Credit risk decisioning Portfolio management
Commercial due diligence
Risk management
Major project delivery
Government financing or investment funds
Investment committee, board or governance environments Eligibility Requirements Applicants must:
Hold a current ABN and be able to contract as an independent contractor.
Have appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance, or the ability to obtain these prior to engagement.
Have unrestricted Australian work rights.
Be able to meet NAIF's confidentiality, probity and conflict of interest requirements. Conflict of Interest Applicants must disclose any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest, including current directorships, advisory engagements, investment interests, financing activities or relationships that may be relevant to NAIF's operations.
Remuneration
Applicants should include their proposed daily rate (excluding GST).

Assessment
Process EOIs will be assessed against NAIF's requirements and shortlisted applicants may be invited to discuss their experience and suitability. NAIF reserves the right to establish a panel of suitably qualified advisors from this process and engage advisors as required.
