Role Description The Internal Technical Sales – Pumps position is a full-time, on-site role based at Foundation Pumps in Balcatta, WA.

This is a technical and customer-focused sales role responsible for supporting pumping requirements across a broad range of applications, from domestic pressure pumps and irrigation systems through to commercial buildings, industrial facilities, dewatering and mining applications.

The role involves responding to customer enquiries, understanding applications and duty requirements, assisting with pump sizing and selection, interpreting pump curves and technical specifications, preparing quotations and recommending appropriate pumps, systems and accessories.

Daily responsibilities also include processing and following up orders and quotations, identifying replacement pumps and alternative solutions, maintaining accurate CRM and sales records, coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, warehouse, service and operations teams, and developing strong relationships with new and existing customers.

As Foundation Pumps continues to grow, this position will also contribute to expanding our technical and sales capability across commercial, industrial and mining markets while continuing to provide strong support to our domestic, residential and agricultural customer base. Qualifications

Solid technical sales and sales capability,



ideally within pumps, pumping systems, water equipment, mechanical equipment or fluid handling.

Good technical understanding of pumps, pump applications, flow, head, pressure and system requirements.

Ability to interpret pump curves, technical specifications and customer duty requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.

Experience with pump sizing, selection, quotations, replacement pumps and associated equipment is highly regarded.

Knowledge or experience across domestic, irrigation, commercial, industrial, water treatment, dewatering or mining pumping applications is advantageous.

Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Strong technical support and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting and identifying suitable alternatives or system improvements.

Ability to prepare accurate quotations, follow up opportunities and convert technical enquiries into sales.

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy when preparing quotations, specifications and customer orders.

Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Experience using CRM, sales, inventory and Microsoft Office systems is beneficial.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal sales, external sales, workshop and service teams, suppliers and manufacturers.

Experience in the pump, irrigation, water treatment, plumbing, mechanical services, industrial equipment or mining sectors will be highly regarded.

Formal qualifications in engineering, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, trade or another relevant technical discipline are advantageous but not mandatory where strong industry experience can be demonstrated.
