About the role

As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products at client sites and depot locations. This includes desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, standard software, and low-end servers.

You'll work on a variety of assignments ranging from routine service calls and hardware break-fix through to more advanced activities such as reloading and re-imaging PCs/laptops, and optimising hardware/software networking products. Guided by Help Desk or Service Desk teams, you'll apply your own knowledge to resolve issues that cannot be fixed remotely, ensuring client satisfaction at every step.

This role provides hands-on variety and is a genuine stepping stone into long-term IT career opportunities at Unisys.

Key responsibilities

· Perform service calls across a wide range of IT equipment

· Carry out basic installations and upgrades

· Provide hardware break-fix, troubleshooting, and component replacement

· Complete installs, moves, adds, and changes in client environments

· Provide desk side support for personal computers and associated software





· Support printers and low-end servers as required

· Handle routine, non-complex technical problems and escalate where needed

· Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service throughout each interaction

What we're looking for

· A+ certification or equivalent (highly regarded)

· Strong knowledge of desktop hardware

· Basic troubleshooting and repair ability, with hands-on toolkit experience

· Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle

· Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance

· Unrestricted AUS Working Rights (required for security clearance)
