Onsite Group is seeking a Building Cadet to join our team in Edgecliff, NSW. This is a part-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career in the construction and project management industry. As a Building Cadet, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands‑on experience in site management, project coordination, and construction practices. This role is instrumental in supporting our project teams and developing the next generation of construction professionals.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting project managers and senior site staff with day‑to‑day site operations and coordination
- Conducting site inspections and documenting progress, including taking photographs and maintaining records
- Supporting the preparation of construction documentation, including schedules, plans and reports
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers and other site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery
- Assisting with health and safety compliance and site induction procedures
- Observing and learning best practices in construction management and project delivery
- Supporting the administrative functions of the project team, including correspondence and filing
- Attending site meetings and assisting with meeting preparation and follow‑up actions
- Helping to coordinate site activities and resource allocation under supervision

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team




- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- A genuine interest in the construction industry and project management
- Willingness to learn and develop skilled skills under mentorship
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to site
- Current White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain one
- Preferred experience: Any previous work experience on construction sites or in related industries
