- Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouses and data lake environments
- Develop and support enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions
- Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Manage structured and unstructured data for reporting, analytics, and operational use
- Develop and maintain SQL and Python-based workflows
- Implement pipeline orchestration, automation, scheduling, monitoring, and logging frameworks
- Support data governance, security controls, and role-based access management
- Design and maintain data models, semantic layers, business rules, and metadata assets
- Perform data migration, archiving, retention, and lifecycle management activities
- Support DevOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD and version control processes
- Conduct performance tuning and optimisation across platforms and pipelines
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability development
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Senior Data Engineer
- Minimum 5 years’ experience developing scalable ETL/ELT solutions within complex enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in:
- Data Warehousing
- Data Lakes
- Data Integration
- Data Modelling
- Data Migration
- Data Governance
- Data Cataloguing and Lineage
- Pipeline Orchestration
- Automation and Scheduling
- Logging and Auditing
- DevOps and DataOps Practices
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience working with both on-premises and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience working with large, complex, and unstructured datasets
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar version control tools
- Experience with CI/CD deployment practices
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools
- Exposure to Business Intelligence platforms and modern analytics environments
- Experience supporting AI/ML data workflows will be highly regarded
