To strengthen our team, and in pursuit of new business opportunities, we are seeking an experienced Junior Civil Estimator for our Renewable Energy Business Unit in Sydney.

About the Role Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects using estimating software and industry-standard tools

Analysing project drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope and requirements





Researching and sourcing material and labour costs from suppliers and subcontractors

Assisting in the compilation of tender submissions and bid documentation

Communicating with project managers, architects and clients to clarify project details and specifications

Maintaining accurate records and databases of historical cost data and estimating information

Supporting the senior estimating team with project analysis and feasibility assessments

Learning and applying company estimating procedures and methodologies About You A qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Solid numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with complex data

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team A genuine interest in the construction industry and a commitment to developing estimating expertise

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Familiarity with estimating software or building information modelling (BIM) is desirable A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Samsung C&T; Corporation is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams.
