Junior Kitchen Hand The Cook and Baker – Bondi Junction The Cook and Baker in Bondi Junction is looking for a Junior Kitchen Hand to join our busy and friendly kitchen team.

This role is ideal for a school leaver or someone starting out in hospitality, with full training provided.

About the Role

Working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team, you’ll assist with preparing high-quality food products for sale including:

- Making sandwiches

- Preparing pastry ingredients, dough mixes, and other ingredients

- Finishing and presenting goods baked by the Head Chef

- Supporting other daily kitchen prep to keep service running smoothly

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is a reliable team player with a positive attitude

- Works efficiently and pays attention to detail

- Is committed to food safety and hygiene standards (training provided)





- Is punctual and comfortable with early starts

Position Details

- Casual role, min 8 hours per week up to 30 hours (for the right person)

- Monday to Friday shifts

- Shift times: 4:00am-12:00pm

- Due to early start times, this role is best suited to someone who can reliably arrive at work by 4:00am (having a car is an advantage due to limited public transport at that time)

Pay Rates

- Monday – Friday rate: $24.34 per hour

No extensive experience is required — most training will be provided. What matters most is a robust work ethic, willingness to learn, and pride in producing great food.
