Remuneration: $137,525 - $ 156,231 per annum, plus 12% superannuation

Where you’ll be working The Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) is the primary entity for clinical governance and safety assurance across NSW Health. We lead and monitor health system safety by embedding and maturing NSW Health safety system model and strategically partnering with health entities and consumers to foster secure care. The CEC has a system wide leadership role in safety and improvement, with a focus on learning.
It provides independent guidance and advice on clinical safety and responds rapidly when system-wide issues arise.
About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists to join a dynamic and motivated team of professionals who are responsible for embedding and maturing safety and improvement capability within NSW Health. In collaboration with the broader Safety Foundation team, this position will:
- Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of allocated projects within the Safety Foundations Team, to manage risks, meet time frames and achieve priority goals aligned to CECs strategic priorities.
- Lead and delivers expert advice to Senior Leads,
Safety Foundations, regarding system risks and needs of consumer partners in CEC's collaborative state-wide initiatives to embed and mature the foundations of a Safety System.
- Delivers high quality outcomes on multiple safety system capability and culture development initiatives, that integrate key safety system priorities with diverse stakeholder networks.

Selection Criteria
1. Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or substantial experience and application of safety and improvement capability in healthcare settings.
2. Demonstrated skills and experience in program development, implementation and evaluation of large scale or state-wide complex projects.
3. Demonstrated problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex safety and improvement information, prepare written project plans and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
4. Highly developed critical analytical skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, exercise independent judgement in a dynamic interagency environment.
