About the role

Brilliant Electric is seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Electrician to join our growing team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of delivering high-quality electrical services to our diverse client base. As a Licensed Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and safety across all projects, from residential installations to complex commercial systems and ASP Level 2 service work.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects whilst contributing to the continued success and growth of Brilliant Electric.

What you'll be doing

- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

- Assisting with or carrying out ASP Level 2 works, including overhead/underground service lines, main switchboard upgrades, metering services, and service disconnects/reconnects.

- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to plan installations and repairs.

- Conducting routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify faults and safety hazards.

- Diagnosing electrical problems and implementing effective solutions whilst adhering to safety standards.

- Installing lighting systems, switchboards, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.

- Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

- Liaising with clients, network providers, and utility operators to manage site requirements and electrical needs.

- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours spent on each project.

- Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical codes, regulations, network operator rules, and safety standards.





- Collaborating with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

What we're looking for

- Current and valid Electrician's Licence issued by the relevant NSW authority.

- ASP Level 2 accreditation is a plus, but NOT required to apply.

- Proven experience working as a Licensed Electrician with a track record of quality workmanship.

- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards, codes, and safety regulations, including AS/NZS 3000 and NSW Service & Installation Rules.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

- Competency in using standard electrical tools, testing instruments, and diagnostic equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills and professional customer service approach.

- Current First Aid certification and White Card are desirable.

- Experience in commercial, industrial, or service mains electrical work is preferred.
