Rostrevor Group is seeking an experienced Loader or Excavator Operator to join our team on a contract basis possible long term work is available for suitable persons. This is a hands‑on operational role based in Epping VIC 3076, where you will be responsible for operating heavy plant machinery on construction and civil engineering projects. This position is crucial to ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

You will work as part of a dynamic team, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our construction operations.

Key responsibilities

- Operate loaders and/or excavators safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation and company procedures

- Perform daily pre-operation checks on plant machinery to ensure all equipment is in protected working condition

- Conduct excavation, earthmoving, and material handling tasks as directed by site supervisors and project managers

- Maintain accurate records of machinery usage, fuel consumption,



and any maintenance issues that arise

- Communicate effectively with site personnel, crane operators, and other team members to ensure safe and coordinated operations

- Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols, site-specific safety requirements, and environmental regulations

- Assist with site housekeeping and ensure work areas are kept clean and organised

- Report any equipment defects, hazards, or incidents immediately to site management

- Comply with company policies, awards, and industrial agreements applicable to the role

What we're looking for

- Current Heavy Combination (HC) or Articulated Heavy Vehicle (HC) driver's licence as a minimum
