About the role
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Contract Administrators, Site Managers and construction professionals, you will support the end-to-end delivery of commercial building and mining infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience across project planning, construction programming, subcontractor procurement, cost control, progress claims, variations, site coordination and project documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with developing, updating and tracking construction programs using Microsoft Project (MS Project).
- Monitor project milestones, critical dates and construction schedules.
- Manage RFIs, transmittals, variations, drawing registers and document control using Oracle Aconex.
- Support subcontractor procurement, including scopes of work, tender packages and letting documentation.
- Assist with tender comparisons, subcontract administration, progress claims and variations.
- Maintain accurate project records, registers and construction documentation.
- Coordinate site deliveries, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support project cost control, commercial administration and progress reporting.
- Assist with compliance across WHS, construction safety and mine-site safety requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
About you
- A recently completed degree in Construction Management, Project Management,
Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Practical experience with, or sound theoretical knowledge of, Microsoft Project and Oracle Aconex.
- An understanding of construction project management and contract administration principles.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and document-management skills.
- Strong planning, time-management and organisational abilities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A valid Construction White Card and current unrestricted WA C-class driver's licence.
- Full Australian working rights and willingness to undertake occasional regional WA and mine-site travel.
