Western Downs Traffic Control is a locally owned and operated traffic management company servicing Western Queensland and surrounding regions.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for reliable, safety-focused Traffic Controllers and Traffic Management Implementers (TMI) to join our team.
Whether you're based in Roma, Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Tara, Toowoomba, St George, Kingaroy or surrounding areas, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
You will be responsible for working safely within a traffic management team to deliver professional traffic control services across a range of projects.
Duties include:
- Implementing approved Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS)
- Setting up and packing down traffic control sites
- Operating Stop/Slow bats and portable traffic signals
- Monitoring and maintaining work sites
- Communicating with clients, supervisors and fellow crew members
- Completing required paperwork and electronic records
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism
About You
You are someone who:
- Has a solid commitment to safety
- Is reliable and punctual
- Works well in a team
- Takes pride in representing the company professionally
- Can work flexible hours, including weekends and night works when required
- Has excellent communication skills
- Is willing to travel for regional work where required
Essential Requirements
- Current Queensland Traffic Controller accreditation
- Current Queensland Traffic Management Implementer accreditation (for TMI applicants)
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening if required
- Smart phone
