Machine Control & Support Technician

MOBA Mobile Automation Australia Pty Ltd is an engineering and manufacturing company based in Melbourne’s North and a subsidiary of a global leader in industrial automation. We specialise in 2D and 3D machine control systems, precision laser alignment equipment and software solutions for the civil construction, mining and related industries.

Our Support Team is growing, and we are looking for a technically minded person with a background in civil construction, surveying, machine control or a related field to support and deploy machine control solutions across Australia. This is not a traditional IT helpdesk role. The focus is on real-world applications involving GNSS, sensors and machine control systems, supporting customers both in the field and remotely.

You will work closely with dealers, operators and internal teams, with domestic travel required to support customers and projects across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure and calibrate machine control systems on Excavators, Skid steers, Dozers and other Heavy Equipment
- Carry out system commissioning, sensor setup, machine measurements and calibration
- Demonstrate products and provide customer training and technical support
- Troubleshoot technical issues via phone, email and remote tools




- Assist with configuration and use of machine control and surveying systems
- Prepare, configure and test GNSS and machine control equipment
- Maintain accurate service and customer records
- Assist with equipment orders and logistics coordination

About You

Experience in one or more of the following is highly relevant:
- Surveying

- Civil construction
- Machine control / 2D or 3D GNSS guidance
- Heavy equipment or technical field service

You will also have a strong problem-solving mindset, be comfortable working with hardware and software, communicate well with customers and colleagues, and be willing to travel domestically as required.
