We are a leading Australian Food Manufacturing facility in the Northern suburbs seeking a MaintenanceFitter to service and maintain onsite food equipment and machinery. The applicant must be reliable witha strong work ethic.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be part of the Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Team providessupport to the Maintenance Operations Manager and Production team by providing quality and efficientmaintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns, and the installation of recent plant andequipment.
You will work 7 hours and 36 minutes per day, and your hours of work will range between 5 AM and 5 PM.
- Start Up and Shut Down of plant equipment
- Forklift ticket, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge an advantage but not necessary
- Equipment Training coaching and support to Engineering team members
- Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry an advantage
- Complete regular machine service and repairs on bakery equipment as part of a plannedmaintenance schedule.
- Carry out all work safely in accordance with company OHS requirements, adhere to GMP andHACCP guidelines
- Proven self-motivation and ability to work well in a team or autonomous
- Check operator daily pre-op forms daily and carry out rectification works required
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance checks on plant and equipment
- Respond to breakdowns immediately
- Find and fix faults
- Determine plant & equipment's condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests andidentifying worn and damaged parts
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems
Requirements
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified fitter - Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years + experience in a similar role and industr
