Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organisation As Manager, Planning & Trading, eCommerce, you will lead the commercial planning and trading strategy for adidas Pacific's digital business. Responsible for driving profitable growth across adidas.com, the adidas App, partner programs and marketplace channels, you will own merchandise planning, forecasting, inventory management and in-season trading performance. Working at the centre of Digital, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Finance, you will ensure the right products are bought, allocated and traded to achieve sales, margin and inventory objectives.
This role is a key driver of data-led decision making, providing the insights, reporting and commercial recommendations that maximise business performance and consumer experience.
Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end merchandise and financial planning process for the eCommerce channel, including Open-to-Buy (OTB), sales, margin, inventory and sell-through planning
Lead pre-season assortment and buy planning, ensuring inventory investments align with commercial targets, consumer demand and seasonal strategies
Partner with Merchandising, Digital and Finance teams to develop and execute category and channel growth plans
Manage inventory allocation, replenishment and stock commitments across adidas.com, the App, partner programs and marketplace channels
Own the rolling forecast process, continually assessing sales, demand and inventory performance to optimise commercial outcomes
Build and deliver trading analysis, dashboards and reporting that support weekly, monthly and seasonal business reviews
Monitor assortment productivity, option count, product availability and inventory health,
identifying risks and opportunities throughout the season
Develop and execute promotional and markdown strategies to maximise sales while protecting profitability and inventory objectives
Analyse category, franchise and article-level performance to provide actionable recommendations that drive growth
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and eCommerce Operations to ensure the optimal flow of inventory across all digital touchpoints KPI's Achievement of net sales, gross margin and full-price sales targets
Inventory productivity metrics including sell-through, weeks cover, stock ageing and inventory turn
Forecast accuracy and effective Open-to-Buy management
Product availability and reduction of out-of-stock rates across digital channels
Promotional and markdown effectiveness against revenue and margin targets

Global DTC & eCommerce Planning Teams Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong experience in Merchandise Planning,
Buying or Merchandising within retail, eCommerce or omni-channel environments
Advanced analytical capability with the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial actions
Advanced Power BI (or equivalent business intelligence platform) experience
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, forecasting and large dataset analysis
Experience using retail analytics or assortment planning tools such as Style Arcade is highly regarded
Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting and merchandising processes
Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial workplace
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Commercially minded with a strong focus on delivering profitable growth Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline preferred
Minimum 6 years' experience in Merchandise Planning, Buying, Merchandising or a related commercial function
Demonstrated experience within an eCommerce, Digital Retail or Omni-channel business
Proven track record managing financial plans, inventory performance and commercial trading outcomes
