Amberley Health Centre, located at RAAF Base Amberley — the largest Air Force base in Australia, just 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to over 6,500 RAAF members and includes primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health care. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

Australian citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role. What you’ll do Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.



Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.

Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information. Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements. Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.

What you bring Minimum of 1 year of full time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)

Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded. Who we are
