We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Houseperson / Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team on a full-time basis.

Working closely with our Executive Housekeeper, this role is essential to the smooth operation of our hotel. You'll ensure our public areas are immaculately presented, our housekeeping team has everything they need to operate efficiently, and our apartments are guest-ready each day.

About the Role

No two days are the same. You'll provide operational support across housekeeping, public areas and hotel operations while helping maintain the high standards Quest guests have come to expect.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all guest-facing areas are clean, secure and exceptionally well presented at all times.

- Support room attendants to ensure apartments are completed and available for arriving guests on time.

- Manage and distribute linen, guest amenities, chemicals and housekeeping supplies throughout the hotel.

- Monitor housekeeping stock levels and assist with inventory management and replenishment.

- Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of housekeeping storerooms, service areas, trolleys and equipment.





- Perform manual handling duties, including moving linen, equipment, rollaway beds and cots.

- Complete carpet and upholstery cleaning using specialised cleaning equipment.

- Carry out minor general maintenance tasks and promptly report maintenance issues requiring attention.

- Remove rubbish and recycling from housekeeping and public areas.

- Assist with apartment setups and furniture movement as required.

- Follow protected work practices and contribute to a positive team culture.

About You

- Have previous experience in hotels, housekeeping, commercial cleaning or a similar role (preferred).

- Have experience with carpet cleaning equipment or be willing to learn.

- Hold a current driver's licence (preferred but not essential).

- Monday - Friday (the odd weekend or public holiday may be required).
