- Hybrid working arrangement – two days per week from home

- Opportunity to work across additional technologies including Check Point, Cisco and F5 What you’ll be doing:
- Configure, administer and support Palo Alto Networks firewalls across enterprise environments
- Manage PAN-OS, Panorama and GlobalProtect technologies
- Configure and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, security zones and access controls
- Manage site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutions
- Troubleshoot complex Palo Alto firewall, connectivity and VPN issues
- Analyse firewall logs and security events to identify threats, anomalies and performance issues
- Perform Palo Alto firmware and operating system upgrades, security patching and vulnerability remediation
- Review, optimise and recertify firewall policies and rules
- Support secure LAN, WAN and WLAN architectures
- Maintain network security practices aligned with Zero Trust, segmentation and least-privilege principles
- Monitor network and security infrastructure to maintain high availability and performance
- Perform incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis and service improvement
- Automate deployments and configuration updates where possible to reduce manual effort
- Execute platform changes, releases and service requests within controlled enterprise environments
- Develop and maintain firewall documentation, network diagrams and standard operating procedures
- Work within ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management processes




- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application and support teams to resolve major incidents What we’re looking for:
- Strong commercial experience administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls in production environments
- Hands-on experience with PAN-OS, Panorama and GlobalProtect
- Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting firewall policies, NAT, security zones and VPNs
- Strong understanding of enterprise network security principles
- Experience troubleshooting complex network and firewall incidents
- Experience with firewall upgrades, patching and vulnerability remediation
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP and network segmentation
- Experience analysing firewall logs and security events
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to independently manage technical issues through to resolution
- Solid communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple incidents, changes and service requests
- Proactive approach to security risks and continuous improvement Highly regarded additional experience:
- Check Point R80+, SmartConsole, Management Server or VSX
- Cisco ASA, Firepower, FTD or FMC
- F5 BIG-IP, LTM, GTM/DNS, WAF or AFM
- Network/security automation
- PCNSA or PCNSE certification
- CCNA or CCNP
- CCSA or CCSE
