About the roleAs an Occupational Therapist with the Redcliffe Adult Mental Health Team (RAMHT), you will play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges to achieve meaningful recovery and improve their quality of life. Working within a multidisciplinary community mental health team, you will deliver evidence-based, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed occupational therapy services that focus on promoting independence, functional capacity and participation in everyday life. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop collaborative care plans and provide interventions tailored to the unique needs of consumers.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:Deliver competent-level occupational therapy clinical services to consumers with complex mental health needs within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with professional practice, ethical, and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate,



consumer-focused outcomes.Undertake comprehensive assessments (including biopsychosocial, risk, and discipline-specific assessments) to inform formulation and care planning.Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team by providing occupational therapy specific clinical advice and education, and by contributing to the development of care plans and discharge planning to achieve optimal outcomes for consumers.Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in quality and service improvement / research activities that enhance the delivery of clinical services and support achievement of key performance indicators.Provide clinical practice supervision and education to undergraduate and postgraduate occupational therapy students, and less experienced Occupational Therapists to ensure maintenance of qualified clinical standards within the servic
