CN - Mount Isa - Child & Youth Mental Health

Mount Isa Hospital's Child and Youth Community Mental Health Service is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join their team on a contract basis until 16 September 2026. This role is open to Clinical Nurses (Nurse Grade 6) or Allied Health professionals (Psychologists, Social Workers, or Occupational Therapists at HP3 level). Based in Mount Isa, Queensland, the position offers a salary of AUD76.20 to AUD81.50 per hour, with Monday to Friday hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing you to make a real difference in the lives of young people in the community.

- Work with children and young people in a community-based mental health setting
- AUD76.20 to AUD81.50 per hour, contract until 16 September 2026
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, based in Mount Isa, QLD

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience working in child and youth mental health services




- Prior experience working within Queensland Health settings
- Proficiency with CIMHA (Queensland Health's mental health clinical information system)
- Current professional registration appropriate to your discipline (nursing, psychology, social work, or occupational therapy)
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related discipline
- Current registration with the relevant professional body (AHPRA for nurses and allied health professionals)
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist training in child and youth mental health
