GoFrameIT is a specialist light gauge steel (LGS) frame detailing and engineering business, Australia wide. We deliver precision detailing and BIM services to residential and commercial builders across Australia — and we're investing heavily in proprietary software to push the boundaries of what's possible in our industry. The Role

This is a senior technical leadership role for someone who sets the standard — not just for output quality, but for how a team thinks about quality.

As Steel Frame Detailing and Quality Manager, you will lead our team of LGS frame detailers, own the quality of every output that leaves the business, and work side by side with our software engineering team to help shape and develop GoFrameIT's proprietary detailing software. You'll be the person our detailers look to technically, and the person our software engineers look to for real-world detailing intelligence.

What You'll Do

- Lead, manage, and develop a team of LGS steel frame detailers — day-to-day direction, workload allocation, and performance.
- Be the technical authority on detailing across the team — FrameCad and/or Revit.
- Provide hands-won mentoring and technical guidance to detailers at all levels.
- Manage job handovers and ensure all documentation is complete and client-ready before release.

Quality Assurance

- Own quality across all detailing outputs — IFA through to IFC. Zero critical errors is the standard.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce QA checklists and peer review processes across the team.
- Conduct and oversee quality audits on completed and in-progress work.




- Build a quality-first culture within the detailing team — quality is not a final check, it's how we work.
- Identify recurring error patterns and implement targeted process improvements.

Software Development Collaboration

- Work directly alongside GoFrameIT's software engineering team to contribute real-world detailing knowledge to the development of our proprietary software.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and translate them into practical software improvement briefs.
- Test and validate new software features from a detailing and quality perspective.
- Help define how automation and software can raise the quality and speed of our detailing output.

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in LGS steel frame detailing — FrameCad and/or Revit essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a detailing team.
- A genuine, systematic approach to quality — someone who builds it into the process, not onto the end.
- Strong understanding of IFA/IFC documentation standards and structural steel detailing.
- Comfortable working with software developers — able to translate detailing problems into explicit, actionable briefs.
- High attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
