Role Description This is a part-time, remote Open Source Curator role at Rio Bel Cosméticos.

The Open Source

Curator will identify, review, and organize open-source tools, data, and resources relevant to cosmetics research, product development, and digital initiatives. The role includes evaluating the quality and reliability of open-source projects, documenting findings, and maintaining a curated repository that is easy for internal teams to use.

Curator will collaborate with product, marketing, and technical teams to recommend suitable open-source solutions and ensure proper licensing and compliance. Day-to-day activities involve continuous monitoring of open-source communities, drafting explicit summaries and guidelines, and providing periodic reports on new opportunities and trends.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate open-source projects for relevance, quality, and compliance.

Candidates should possess proficiency in documentation and writing skills, including the ability to create clear summaries, guidelines,



and reports for non-technical audiences.

Candidates should possess basic technical literacy, such as familiarity with open-source platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitLab), version control concepts, and software licensing principles.

Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage a curated repository and handle multiple concurrent reviews in a part-time schedule.

Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with remote cross-functional teams and align open-source resources with business needs.

Experience in cosmetics, beauty, or consumer products, or a demonstrated interest in these fields, is beneficial.

Experience with data management, knowledge management, or digital product environments is a plus.

An associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Science, Communications, Computer Science, Business) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
