Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role coordinates installation, sanding, finishing, and maintenance schedules, manages resources and inventory, and supports the team in meeting workload requirements.

The Operations

Manager works closely with leadership to streamline processes, monitor performance, and implement improvements in workflow, safety, and customer service. Daily responsibilities include supervising staff, liaising with suppliers,



supporting project planning and logistics, and handling operational issues as they arise. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with cost control, and contributing to a safe, productive, and client-focused work environment.

Qualifications

Experience in operations management, project coordination, or site supervision within construction, flooring, or a related trade environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities.

Ability to lead and support teams, with skills in coaching, performance oversight, and clear communication.

Competence in basic business administration, including budgeting, cost tracking, and documentation.

Comfort with using digital tools and software for scheduling, inventory tracking, and reporting.

Knowledge of timber flooring processes (installation, sanding, finishing, and maintenance) or willingness to learn quickly.

Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.

Relevant vocational training or qualifications in operations, construction management, or a related field are beneficial.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites within Melbourne, as required.
