We're looking for a skilled Operations Manager to join the team at Baker Bleu!

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Operations Manager to join our leadership team. Having recently opened a brand new production site, with more retail stores in the pipeline, we are busier than ever - This is a great opportunity to join a growing business in a leadership role.

The operations manager is a crucial role within our business - to keep the wheels turning and ensure efficiency across our sites.

Some of the major functions of this role include

- Managing transport and logistics between our retail stores and production sites, as well as with our 3rd party logistics partners
- Managing dispatch from production sites, to ensure packing and dispatch is accurate and efficient
- Asset management including equipment and parts purchasing, storage and inventory, as well as managing internal service requests and scheduled maintenance with the Baker Bleu service tech and external contractors
- Vehicle maintenance and fleet management
- Recruitment, induction, scheduling and timekeeping for delivery staff
- Overseeing waste management, pest control and contract cleaning across our sites
- Procurement from local & international suppliers - end to end management from purchase order to customs clearance & delivery
- Warehousing and inventory management

Primarily based in our Braeside production site, you will spend time across our retail and production sites in Hawksburn village, Cremorne, South Yarra, Caulfield North and Dandenong. This is an exciting, fast-paced role filled with tremendous growth opportunities for the right person. Our team produce a dynamic range of delicious sourdough bread. We embrace modern technology, as well as unique methods to achieve our signature dark crust magic.

About you

We are looking for a strong leader with relevant industry experience.

To be considered for this role, you will need to bring:

- Excellent knowledge of operations in a similar production/retail setting
- Strong communication skills - you will be dealing with people at all levels
- Proven experience in the recruitment and selection process
- Excellent numeracy and written skills
- Strong computer skills including excel, Microsoft suite and rostering software
- A positive, forward-thinking mindset
- An awareness of OHS obligations and standards
- A desire to grow and evolve with our business
- Experience driving commercial delivery vehicles
- Forklift license
