This has created a new opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-day running of the business.

With the Directors focusing on strategy, new revenue streams and the future of the business, you will have the ownership of operations as the single point of coordination and accountability. Twelve months in, success looks like a business that runs smoothly without the Directors: production on plan, branches always stocked, campaigns landing on time, and a leadership team that's accountable and aligned.

What You Will Be Working On

This newly created role will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the business. Highly competent managers head up each division, so your role is to ensure targets are met, all divisions are supported and working harmoniously to facilitate streamlined operations, removal of bottlenecks and continuous improvement.

- Act as the day-to-day operational leader of the business, keeping Manufacturing, Logistics, Marketing, Product Development, Admin and Customer Experience pulling in the same direction
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to keep production on plan and identify issues before they hit customer supply
- Partner with the National Logistics Manager to keep every branch and site reliably stocked
- Provide the Marketing function operational input so campaigns land on schedule and in step with stock availability
- Drive efficiency and cost control across departments




- Build a culture of accountability and consistency across your leadership team
- Provide Directors clear, regular visibility without needing to be across the detail themselves

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful

You're a hands-on operator who's comfortable owning the whole picture, not just one function. You hold people accountable without micromanaging, you spot where work is getting stuck between departments, and you bring order to complexity.

- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, General Manager, or similar senior role spanning multiple business functions
- A track record of coordinating across manufacturing, warehousing/logistics and other operational areas
- Solid leadership presence, able to manage accountability and lift performance across diverse teams
- A practical, "on the ground" management style paired with strong commercial and cost-control instincts
- Confidence working closely with business owners/Directors as a trusted partner

Experience in manufacturing, coatings, paint, or a related industrial/FMCG setting is a strong plus, as is experience supporting business owners through a period of growth or transition, and any exposure to continuous improvement or lean practices.
