IsAlbi is an Australian homewares, kitchenware, gifting and toys business, part of the Marlin Brands portfolio. Our products reach thousands of retail partners across Australia and New Zealand, and our Truganina distribution centre is the engine room that gets them there. We are investing in our distribution operation, and this is a genuine opportunity to shape how the site runs.
About The Role Reporting to the DC Operations Manager and acting as their second in charge, the Operations Supervisor owns the day to day performance of our inbound and outbound operations. Working through two Team Leaders across a team of around 14, you will keep receiving, pick, pack and dispatch running safely, on time and to standard, and turn site priorities for safety, quality and continuous improvement into what happens on the floor each day. This is a hands on leadership role.
You will be on the floor with your teams, comfortable jumping in where the operation needs you, and setting the pace through a proactive, get it done approach.
What You Will Do Oversee day to day inbound (receiving) and outbound (pick, pack, dispatch) operations through your two Team Leaders. Plan and coordinate rostering and shift coverage across permanent, casual and labour hire resourcing to match throughput and peak demand. Coach, develop and manage the performance of your Team Leaders, escalating conduct and performance matters where required.
Drive safety compliance and the toolbox talk cadence on the floor, and lead incident and near miss investigation and reporting.
Ensure the operation meets its WHS obligations, working with the Warehouse Administrator on the WHS committee and reporting cycle. Monitor DC performance against KPIs and drive the efficiencies that meet them.
Support process and pick path optimisation projects, translating the outputs into floor execution. Identify and drive continuous improvement across inbound, outbound and MHE utilisation.
What you will bring A strong, hands on leader with extensive distribution centre operations experience. Demonstrated multi team DC leadership, ideally across both inbound and outbound functions.
Robust WHS leadership: incident investigation, safety compliance auditing and a genuine safety first culture. A track record of coaching and developing frontline leaders and driving staff retention.
Experience using WMS systems and KPI or dashboard reporting to drive floor performance.
Experience managing rostering, shift coverage and a mixed permanent, casual and labour hire workforce. Strong stakeholder management and communication across operations and production. A forklift licence is required. Weekend and after hours work may be needed from time to time. What is on offer A competitive salary package. A 2IC leadership role with real ownership of a busy operation. The chance to shape how the site runs during a period of investment in the operation.
