Inspired Printing is seeking an experienced Production Manager with strong knowledge of large-format and digital print and signage production.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands that production is about more than operating machines — it is about managing people, workflow, priorities, quality, communication and deadlines.

The Opportunity

You will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of our print production department.

You will sit at the centre of our production workflow, coordinating jobs between Sales, Account Managers, production staff, finishing, suppliers and management.

A key part of this role is to bring the Sales and Production teams together, ensuring everyone is working from the same information, understands customer expectations and is aligned on priorities, deadlines and production capabilities.

You will:

- Manage the daily production workflow across digital print and large-format production
- Take ownership of production schedules and customer delivery deadlines
- Create and manage WIP using PrintIQ production boards
- Review production priorities continuously throughout the day
- Allocate work to production staff based on deadlines, capacity and job requirements
- Identify potential delays before they become problems
- Coordinate overtime when required, particularly during peak production periods
- Communicate closely with Sales, Account Managers and management
- Build a solid working relationship between the Sales and Production teams
- Ensure Sales and Account Managers have clear and accurate information regarding production capacity,



lead times and job status
- Ensure Production receives complete and accurate information from Sales before jobs proceed
- Help resolve communication gaps between Sales and Production before they impact customers or deadlines
- Coordinate priorities between customer expectations and realistic production capacity
- Encourage a collaborative, solution‑focused approach between Sales and Production
- Maintain quality, efficiency and accountability across production
- Ensure customer orders are completed correctly and delivered on time

The Production Manager will play an important role in creating one team across Sales and Production, with both departments working towards the same goal - delivering quality work, meeting customer expectations and achieving deadlines.

Your ability to organise production, communicate across departments and keep multiple jobs moving simultaneously will directly influence customer satisfaction and the overall performance of the business.

Who This Role Is Designed For

You come from a busy digital print, large-format, signage or commercial print workplace and know how to keep production moving under pressure.

You bring:

- Strong large-format and digital print experience
- Experience leading production staff
- Strong scheduling and workflow management skills
- Confidence managing urgent jobs and competing deadlines
- Knowledge of substrates, finishing and production processes
- Experience with MIS systems - PrintIQ highly regarded
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- A robust focus on quality, efficiency and delivery

Key Responsibilities

- Run day‑to‑day print production operations
- Manage workflow across all print orders
- Create and maintain WIP using PrintIQ production boards
- Prioritise jobs based on deadlines, capacity and customer commitments




- Allocate work and manage production staff workloads
- Bring Sales, Account Management and Production together around priorities and delivery expectations
- Identify delays and bottlenecks early and take actionCoordinate overtime when required, especially during peak periods
- Maintain clear communication with staff, management and Account Managers
- Manage stock, materials and production consumables
- Maintain quality standards and minimise waste and reprints
- Ensure completed work meets specifications before dispatch
- Continuously improve workflow, productivity and production efficiency
