Lead Maintenance Excellence in a Growing Drilling Business
Edge Drilling is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance, asset management, workshop, and inventory functions across our drilling operations.
This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager and is responsible for ensuring our fleet of drilling rigs, support equipment, and assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, quality, and operational performance.

About the Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance and asset management activities, ensuring equipment availability, workshop efficiency, compliance, and cost-effective operations.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing preventative and corrective maintenance programs across drilling rigs, support equipment and mobile plant
- Leading workshop, maintenance and stores personnel
- Developing maintenance schedules and asset lifecycle plans
- Managing inventory, critical spares and procurement activities
- Monitoring equipment performance and reducing downtime
- Ensuring compliance with OEM, statutory and client requirements
- Managing maintenance budgets and cost-control initiatives
- Providing technical support and subject matter expertise to operations teams
- Maintaining accurate plant, certification and maintenance records
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and asset management functions

- Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
- Conduct workshop and warehouse safety audits
- Support ISO Quality, Environmental and Safety Management Systems
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance leadership within mining, drilling, construction, heavy industry or related sectors
- Strong asset management and maintenance planning experience
- Proven ability to lead teams and contractors
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Sound budgeting and cost-management capability
- Current HR Driver's Licence
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
- Experience working on drilling equipment
- Frontline Management qualification or equivalent
- Section 26 Certification or demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation
- Experience with Safety Culture or similar maintenance systems
