Hands-On Supervisor | Small Team | Established Family Business

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our Stapylton warehouse.

This is a hands-on role. You will work alongside 2-3 other warehouse team members, picking, packing, receiving and preparing orders while also coordinating the daily workflow and maintaining a safe, organised and efficient warehouse.

The role works closely with our logistics and administration team, who manage transport scheduling and stock transfers.

The role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse floor, including:

- Coordinate and contribute to daily picking, packing, loading and dispatch

- Supervise and support the warehouse team

- Receive, check, record and put away incoming goods

- Ensure stock is stored correctly and warehouse locations are maintained

- Maintain high standards of picking and dispatch accuracy

- Prioritise warehouse activities to meet customer and delivery requirements

- Ensure pallets and loads are prepared safely and correctly

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse

- Coordinate warehouse plant and equipment requirements

- Manage rubbish removal and prepare recycling for collection

- Assist with stock movements, counts and inventory control

- Identify and address warehouse issues as they arise

- Communicate clearly with the Logistics Coordinator, customer service team and management

- Promote safe work practices and ensure procedures are followed

- Remain actively involved in warehouse duties alongside the team





About you

We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and comfortable leading from the floor.

You will ideally have:

- Previous warehouse supervisory, leading hand or senior storeperson experience

- Strong hands-on warehouse experience

- A current forklift licence (and HR licence desired but not essential)

- Good knowledge of receiving, picking, packing and dispatch processes

- Strong attention to detail and stock accuracy

- The ability to organise people and priorities in a busy setting

- A practical approach to problem solving

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Basic computer and warehouse systems capability

- A strong commitment to workplace safety

- A willingness to take responsibility and get involved wherever required

Experience in a distribution, wholesale or similar warehouse environment would be well regarded.

You will have clear responsibility for the warehouse floor while working collaboratively with the Transport, Logistics & Stock Transfers Coordinators to keep stock and customer orders moving efficiently through the business.
